Rainbows!

A rainbow is the most beautiful spectrum to see on earth. The rainbow is full of seven colors, also know as "Roy G Biv," which stands for, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. But how exactly are rainbows formed? Like a lab we did in science class, we held up a prism to the light in a dark room and saw rainbows. This true because the white light separates the color spectrum so we can see it. The light can be reflected and bent. After it rains, there are many water droplets in the sky. When the sun reaches a droplet, the droplet acts as a prism. Each droplet separates the seven color all at the same time as well as all the bending and reflecting. The famous man who discovered this is Isaac Newton. Try a cool experiment, on a sunny day hang bunch of prisms from the ceiling and then open the curtains. You should be able to see many different rainbows in the room, this idea works best in a sun room where there are a lot of windows.
